Spring, TX at a Glance
Spring is reminiscent of a small Texas
town from the early 1900s. Conveniently located just north of Houston,
Spring offers several festivals, a number of historic sites and exceptional shopping—all
in a relaxing milieu away from the bustle of the city. Spring's streets are lined
with Victorian-style shops selling everything from antiques and collectibles to
clothing and gifts. Each year the town hosts five major events: the Celebration
of Easter, a March festival offering a variety of Christian entertainment;
Springfest
in March, a gala of wine, food and art; the Texas
Crawfish and Music Festival, an April festival offering live Texas and southern
Louisiana-style bands and massive amounts of boiled crawfish; the Long
Horn Rod Run, which showcases over 500 restored vintage automobiles in September;
and Home
for the Holidays, a festive celebration beginning in mid-November that offers
live performances every weekend until Christmas.
